Hi,

Welcome to HealthcareMagic forum

Entamoeba histolytica is a parasite protozoan which dwells in anerobic circumstances in the intestines.

Since the stools sample picked up this parasite, it is clear that you are infected with it.

The treatment consists of a course of antibiotic along with proper hydration and electrolyte support (ORS) to take care of dehydration. The usual antibiotic suggested is metronidazole / tinidazole if you are not allergic to it. Your physician can prescribe this antibiotic for 5-7 days.

Hope this answers your query.

Regards
