Suggest Treatment For Diarrhea And Mild Abdominal Cramps After Eating

Every time I eat ham, bacon, livermush, sausage, eggs that are not cooked well, I get diarrhea and mild cramps within 15 minutes, so, eating breakfast means I have to stay near a bathroom and I can t eat breakfast on a long trip, I have to wait for lunch... now, if I eat a blt sandwich for lunch, skipping breakfast, I don t suffer, and nothing else I eat all day long bothers me, it s just breakfast meat and soft eggs... why?

Hi,

You should change your food items in your breakfast, should avoid egg products or raw/half-cooked food. Have your breakfast early in the morning (8 to 9 am), and it should be light. You should also avoid tea or coffee just before or after breakfast.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Rajshree Agrawal, General & Family Physician
