Hello,
Diarrhea usually causes
dehydration, which in turn, also causes mild
fever, except if the diarrhea is caused by a bacteria, which itself cause fever apart from the dehydrated state.
Dehydration also causes certain electrolyte imbalances which cause weakness and certain muscle spasms.
Considering your improving symptoms, with no
abdominal pain and improvement in diarrhea, you may need adequate hydration with solutions like Hydrite brand, or even sports drinks (like Gatorade, or any available sports drink) which contains appropriate electrolytes for replacement of losses.
This would generally improve fever and weakness once you get well hydrated.
I would suggest a follow-up checkup if your symptoms would recur or prolong to check for the presence of signs of bacterial diarrhea, which will require the addition of antibiotics for treatment.
But for now, with your improving symptoms, hydration and
bed rest will be adequate.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
