Hi Doctor, My Baby is 2n 1/2 month old, he got just 8 days of mother milk after that we had feed him tond milk till 15 days suggested by the doctors but after that he suffered from Diarrhea. then we had discussed with another doctor they suggest us for Zerolac and suggested change to nan pro 1 or lactogen 1st after 2 weeks. but when we are switching to nan pro or lactogen he suffered again from Diarrhea , please suggest us can we continue with Zerolac regularly . also please clear us why its happening with baby health. Regards
I hope you have started to wean from breast milk recently. While doing so, I recommend starting on one food at a day and if it is tolerating go for the next, give adequate electrolytes to the baby for maintaining its hydration. WHO recommended electral is available everywhere. The next thing is some baby foods will not be tolerated by the baby. Avoid it. Try giving home made baby foods and fruit pure for such babies.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Wish you good health.
Regards,
Dr. Ivan R. Rommstein, General Surgeon
