Suggest Treatment For Diarrhea, Low Grade Fever, Sinus Infection And Sore Throat
I ve had a sinus infection with a sore throat for the last two.days. my 3 three year old started preschool 2week s ago and now she s sick with a cold and she had a bout of diarrhea this week. Now I m experiencing the same symptoms with green diarrhea tonight. Any answers for what s going on? Stuffy nose, sore throat, slight cough, low grade fever for my kid not me.
Hello and welcome to HCM, A history of sore throat, stuffy nose, cough and low grade fever are suggestive of upper respiratory tract infection (URTI). There is probably a bacterial infection which requires an antibiotic for a week. You need to consult your pediatrician for clinical assessment and prescription of antibiotic depending on the body weight of your child. In the meanwhile saline gargles and anti-pyretic can be given for the fever (e.g. paracetamol syrup). Presence of diarrhea is also suggestive of gastrointestinal tract (GIT) infection. An antibiotic is also required for diarrhea. Thus, consult your pediatrician at the earliest before the infection gets worse.
