Suggest Treatment For Diarrhea, Nausea And Body Pain

Hi, I started with diarrhea on Wed, then had chills & body aches on Thu. Had fever, more body aches, nausea, some vomiting andmore diarrhea since then. Am 58 yr old female in southeastern AZ. Could this be the flu? Sorry, didn t know there was a charge. Pls disregard my question.

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have diarrhea, nausea and body pain which seems to be due to disturbance of electrolytic balance of body. Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like food intolerance , food allergy , bacterial or viral infection , parasitic infection or inflammatory bowel disease.You should take small quantity of food and avoid large intake at a single time. I would suggest you to consult gastroenterologist for proper examination . Doctor may prescribe antibiotics like ornidazole , albendazole , omeprazole along with loperamide. You should eat light and non spicy , eat fresh fruits and vegetables and eat fruits like banana. Take oral rehydrating solution as well.
