Suggest Treatment For Diarrhea, Spastic Bladder And No Control Over Bowel Movements
I had my terminal ileum removed back in 1983 due to an endometrioma at the terminal ileum from a vaginal hysterectomy almost exactly 1 year previously. Since that time I have not had a solid bowel movement and now that I am in my late 60 s, I am reduced to depends as my bowel movements are unexpected and usually almost completely liquid. I have had diarrhea since 1983. The lack of a terminal ileum seems to affects how food is processed and medication is absorbed. Any suggestions on how to handle this worsening condition. I have no control over my bowel movements and since I also have a spastic bladder, I have bowel movements every time I urinate, usually at least once an hour. Nights are a nightmare.
Hi, Dear first I would like to know that if you have got any pain on back side, or disc prolapse of spine.Or do you have any fall history which caused back injury. As bladder and anal sphincter could be effected by changes in lower spine. My opinion would be get consult by neurosurgeon , you may need MRI lower spine to rule out the cause of incontinence. Hopefully my answer is helpfull. Dr.Maheshwari
