Suggest Treatment For Diarrhea, Stomach Pain And Gastritis

I have severe diarreah, bad gas, and I feel achy and tired. I have had it off and on for two weeks but the last two day is has been really bad. I started taking iron pills two weeks ago. I don't know if that could be related or not for the last two days I discontinued them. No fever. I am also diabetic and have high blood pressure and high colestoal. I am 51 and weight 180.

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you are having symptoms of diarrhea, stomach pain and gastritis. Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like electrolyte imbalance, gastroenteritis , food poisoning , irritable bowel syndrome , lactose intolerance. Need not to worry. I would suggest you to consult gastroenterologist for proper examination. Doctor may order stool test , ultrasound , endoscopy along with that take history. Doctor may prescribe laxative , ornidazole or albendazole along with ranitidine. Ciplox TZ along with meftal spas is the right medication combination for you. You should eat light and non spicy , avoid food like seafood and nuts , take antacid after every meal and keep your head elevated while lying down.
