Hi, Ciprofloxacin can cause tendon problems in some patients and if you have had this problem previously with ciprofloxacin use please don t use it as you are at high risk of developing it again, other alternatives should be used. If you have not had tendon problems with ciprofloxacin use and your doctor has prescribed it then I would advise to take it, the chance of developing tendinitis with its use is present but small. If during the use you feel pains anywhere (especially the lower legs are more at risk) let your doctor know immediately. Meanwhile, take some probiotics to help restore normal bowel flora and help with diarrhea and make sure you keep yourself hydrated with oral rehydration solutions. Hope I have answered your query.
