Suggest Treatment For Diarrhea
I have had mild Diarrhea for a week, training for bike race, had a fall and an infection from road rash, given an antibiotic, told to watch for diarrhea. Didn t have an issue while taking med came on a week later. Was also taking anti-inflammation meds. Shoulder infection cleared, off meds now. Have had IBS bouts in the past. Assume I wait a bit and it will clear up?

With diarrhea for a week, waiting again and hoping it will clear up is not a good idea.Some antibiotics like amoxicillin-clavulanic acid cause diarrhea but this will not appear a week after finishing your dose.You will need a stool culture/sensitivity test as antibiotics maybe needed for you to get over it.In the meantime, you can take oral rehydration salt, zinc tablets and eat bananas if possible.You need to see a Doctor for evaluation and work-ups given the duration of your symptom.
