Suggest Treatment For Diarrhea

I had diarrhea in Vietnam caused by amoeba and parasites in my systems, I have noticed it starting again since I started takining pain meds. This requires that I take a over the count brand. Should I be worried about this or perhaps is there a different way to treat it.

Hi,

Diarrhea is when you have loose motions many times in a day which makes you lose a lot of water and become dehydrated leading to renal failure. First take lot of water and juices, Iv fluids are necessary. Depending on the cause antibiotics are mandatory. Drugs Imodium, charcoal is recommended.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Mutuma Geoffrey Zambezi
