DPLD (Diffuse Parenchymal Lung Diseases) are group of diseases previously known as interstitial lung disease. Honestly speaking this is notdisease for the patient. As many drugs are under pipeline but nothing seems promising. Latest addition in this is tab perfinodone. It is antifibrotic in nature. Other one is N Acetyl Cystine (NAC). Which is antioxidant, anti inflammatory and mucolytic in nature. And steroids are given as and when required. Continuous home oxygen for atleast 16-18 hours per day is recommended especially in whole night.
