Hello,
Thank you for your query.
Ideally, an immediate visit to the ER is mandatory based on your symptoms.
These symptoms usually occur when the heart is experiencing some problem, either with electrical or mechanical activity (most likely the latter)
Would you please clarify a few things for me?
- how old are you?
- what is your height and weight?
- do you have any medical issues or take any medications?
I recommend :
- a physician and cardiologist consult.
- an electrocardiogram and
echocardiogram - Holter monitoring for 24 hrs to check for heart rhythm disturbances.
-blood pressure monitoring (ideally below 130/85)
-adjustment of medications to keep blood pressure and
heart rate under good Control.
- an
angiography if any blocks in the coronary
artery is suspected.
-blood tests (
complete blood count, TSH, kidney and liver function tests,
lipid profile, blood
glucose panel, cardiac enzymes to check for heart muscle damage).
- urine analysis
I urge you to seek medical attention right away as a diastolic of 98 is still way too high.
You may be experiencing a cardiovascular event right now and the sooner it is diagnosed the better the chances of complete recovery with appropriate treatment.
Hope this helps. Please let me know if there is anything else I can help you with.
Wish you good health
