Suggest Treatment For Discomfort In Upper Chest And Upper Back Area

I have constant discomfort in my upper chest, upper sternal area with pain in my upper back. Hx of GERD, gastritis and esophagitis but gastroscopy in June ok. SOB with mild exertion. No fmy hx of cardiac problems. A lot of fatigue. 65 y/o female. Generally healthy and active. 3 weeks~ symptoms.

Hi,

You need to consult a physician and get an ECG done as you are 65 yrs old(post menopausal). If it appears normal then kindly consult your gastroenterologist regarding medications as you have a history of GERD.

They may recommend newer better efficacy proton pump inhibitors like esomeprazole that can give you relief along with lifestyle modifications like taking small frequent meals, avoiding soda, having dinner 2hrs before lying down.
