Suggest Treatment For Distended Belly Button

I have had a distended belly button for some time now, and have an appointment with my internist on the 19th. Tonight it seems more distended and painful in the general area, about 8-10 cm around the belly button. Hurts to lean over, I am overweight but not obese.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi, Welcome to Health care magic forum.
As you describe, it appears to be the umblical hernia, it would have been there since long, but not visible, now it is visible and pain full.
I advise you to consult a surgeon for diagnosis. You may need to have an M.R.I. for diagnosis.
I usually prescribe to my patient with such symptoms mefenamic acid, and dicyclomine hydrochloride.
Wishing for a quick and complete recovery. Thank you.
