Suggest Treatment For Diverticulitis While On Metronidazole And Ciprofloxacin

I have had my 2nd diverticulitis attack with my first one being in October that required a 3 day hospital stay. It has been almost a week since I first felt the pain and I have seen my Gastro. who put me on Cipro and Metronidazole. My question is that I am feeling extreme fatigue, severe loss of appetite, and nausea. Is this normal and if so how long will it last. All I want to do is sleep.

Hello,

The nausea and fatigue are common side effects of Metronidazole. You will feel like your old self as soon as you stop them.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
