Suggest Treatment For Dizziness And Headache After Head Injury
Hi I hit my head a week ago and I slept for 14 hours that night (which is not unusual) and I ve been feeling more dizzy since then. I had a very long headache yesterday and there is a slight pain at the back of my head now... the only reason why I m concerned is because when I hit my head a week ago, I head a crack. Is it something that I should be worried about or should I just take it easy at home?
At the most cases, the headache lasts several days or weeks after a head trauma. It is important that the pain diminishes gradually and that different neurological signs don't present, like worsening of a headache, nose leaking, confusion and disorientation, weakness of one arm or/and leg, talking impairment etc.
If you feel that a headache is worsening or even if it's not decreasing, you should see a doctor that with an objective examination can easily exclude severe brain injuries.

Since one week passed, I don't think that a serious brain injury is probably.
Anyway, minor injuries such as moderate concussion, skull fracture, etc. should be considered and evaluated further since you are still experiencing symptoms after one week.
Discuss with your Doctor for these issues and further evaluation.
