Suggest Treatment For Dizziness And Shoulder Aches
Three-plus years ago I was diagnosed with an aneurism on my ascending aorta. Iin subsequent CTA exams it has not grown. Actually, it has shrunk slightly but that is likely due to the imprecision of there initial measurement. I have been tasking 25 mg of losartin daily in the morning. I have not experienced the side effects I have read about (dizziness, weakness, arm or shoulder aches). Mt BP is in the 126-69 range. I am uneasy about the aneurism - is there something i should be aware of ? Thank you.
You are right, the aneurysm is a matter of concern. But the good thing is, it is not increasing. In such cases, an aneurysm can be surgically treated, that is a major operation, however, all aneurysms do not need surgery. It needs surgery if these are rapidly increasing in size or becomes large. In your case, we do not do anything thing. You should control your BP which you have already been doing. And regularly follow up to see if the size increases, depending on that your doctor may advise surgery.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Mahboob Ur Rahman,
