Suggest Treatment For Double Vision
I am a nurse, but I am having trouble with double vision or what might be described as a ghost shadow. I just got my eyes checked and was Rx for distance glasses. I got them today. They help with making things bigger, but the double vision is still their. Infact the last week I waited for my glasses it has gotten worse.

double vision and ghost vision are different. refraction is to bedone.cover test to detect squint. refractive error detected should be corrected. when you get glass use it on trial. should get relief from your problem. if not then detail eye examination is to be carried out.

Double vision is diplopia. it is mainly due to anisometropia. related to refractive error. acuity of vision refraction and cover test to detect phoria is to be done. if error in refraction is detected then it should be corrected. if it is checked and hypermetropia is detected then correction is to be taken. while taking trial your diplopia should go. if it is not improving then second opinion regarding refraction can be done. you should be comfortable after taking correction.
