Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have MS and Atical Trigeminal Neuralgia. I began having severe vertical double vision and have tapered my gabapentin to 300mg/day. I had no double vision for the last 3 days but it started again today. Is there any relationship between TN, MS, Gabapentin and double vision
Gabapentin has a side effect of causing double vision, so yes, this is quite possible that your double may be caused by Gabapentin.
I would suggest you should talk to your doctor to reduce the dose or stop it. MS possibly can cause double vision but very unlikely rather it causes a decrease in vision. Trigeminal neuralgia does not cause double vision.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Mahboob Ur Rahman,
