Suggest Treatment For Dribbling Of Urine
Am 66. Am diabetc over 15 years. Some 10 years back, suddeenly there was cellulitis in my orgaqn. Its swelling was that of an animal. I was afraid. I donot have EMR (extra maritaI relations). I rushed to my family physician. He advised Metmorphin 500 mg. That was ok for some time. Eight years ago I had problem in of retention of urine. Doctor had put some tube in the penis outlet and I could pass urine freely. But that was in red color. After in-hospital treatment, he advised me Insulin Human mixact 30-70, 15 units twice a day and tablet TANDURA. I have been taking it for the last 3-years, one tablet every night. What would be its repurcussions over a period time.
Another problem is that now, unless I sit in the commode, when I pass urine it is falling on thighs and pant. How to stop it. Doctor said it is due to weakness of nerves in the pennis. Can I get restrength there. I have to maintain my dignity, please.
Kindly educate me.

Incontinence of urine may be due to many causes like urinary tract infection,neurological causes,enlarged prostate etc.
In your case it is important to exclude neurological involvement.
You need proper evaluation.
Besides clinical assessment, you may need investigations like routine hemogram,urine RE/ME,ultrasound of abdomen,Urodynamic study,EEG/EMG etc.
Treatment depend upon findings.You may need to take medicines,behavior modification etc.Surgery may be required in few cases.
