My father had angioplasty surgery last month and after he was relief from the hospital he has been coughing with no sputum. We went back to his doctor but they said its dry cough and it would die down in a month or two, however, we are really worried please help.
Post nasal drip is most common. In some persons, it is silent, they only experience the cough not the drip. This is treated with the use of topical steroid nasal sprays and oral anti histamines.
You can consider asking his doctor about this possibility.
Asthma and gastroesophageal reflux can also be associated with cough.
I hope this helps
