Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I was trying various products over and over on urine stained rugs trying to get the smell out. At first I used a black light and could see where all the urine markings were. Then the stain came out but not the smell. So I continued treating the spots while lying on the floor trying to find the spots by smell. I was barefoot too while doing this. I haven t gone back to clean the rugs for over a month of so. I have ringworm on my left arm. Could I have fungal spores in my lungs? I have not been feeling well for 3 weeks now. I have no appetite a dry cough fever of 102 at night and wake up every morning drenched in sweat.
You appear to have two conditions, a ring worm infection over your left arm and dry cough with fever. Dry cough with fever indicates an infection which could be because of any pathogen. I would advise you to get your sputum tested for the kind of organism affecting your lungs and also get an X-ray done for your lungs.
You could be having fungal pneumonitis however, there are other causes for fever with dry cough and it would need a correct diagnosis and immediate treatment with injectable antibiotic / anti-fungal drugs depending on the kind of organism. For ringworm, you can try an anti-fungal ointment like Miconazole for about a month or more.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Anoop Kumar, General & Family Physician
