Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I used this cleanser that had 2% acid. After the first time using it in I felt a little bit of stinging and it left a red mark on my face.Do you know how I can heal to get rid of the red mark on my face.how should i heal it.I tried putting honey on it ,the next day it would leave dry white skin that can peel right off.should i peel the white dry skin off or should I leave it
As per your query facial patches on skin is because of allergic reaction to acid cleanser and it could be due to hyper-pigmentation as well as your skin is because of increased sensitivity of getting pigmented. Need not to worry. I would suggest you should apply cream rich in Azelaic acid or Kojic acid. Apply on face twice daily. It will lighten red and white patches on skin. Use medicated sunscreen such as Tancare rich in SPF 30. You can go for home remedy as well. Apply mashed potatoes on these pigments. It will resolve. apply cotton dipped in tea tree oil to lighten the pigments. You can visit dermatologist once and can go for chemical peeling or micro abrasion if your symptoms not resolving. Take supplements rich in vitamin C.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
