Suggest Treatment For Dry Itchy Rashes Near Waist And Buttocks
I have an itchy rash that will dry up and then act up around the front of my waist. It's spread over the last year and now is around butt. I haven't been sexual active. I haven't had health insurance for the last year so I haven't had a chance to get it looked at. Im a pale skinned, male. I've had ring worm before and the rash I have seems connected around my waist and is venturing down to my pubic area. I'm becoming a bit concerned. Any insight on what it could be? There isn't any puss or blood from when I itch, just irratated red bumps if I don't stop itching. Any info would help, thanks!

Hi Thank you for asking HCM. I have gone through your query. Your problem can be due to fungal infection like tinea corporis. If you send a picture of it then it will be more helpful in identifying that. If you were my patient with such condition then I would recommend using ointments with combination of antifungal agents like miconazole and corticosteroid like flucinolone. Taking fluconazole tab weekly once for 1 month will be helpful in stopping getting recurrence. Hope this may help you. Let me know if anything not clear. Thanks.
