Suggest Treatment For Dry Patch On Throat

I am 35 years old, 5 2 tall, 125 lbs, and have no prior medical issues aside from acute gout. For the past week, my throat has either had a dry patch, felt like I had been shouting all day when I hadn t, or at times felt like there is something stuck in it. It is not so much a sore throat as much as it is a matter of mild discomfort. Also, the dry patch and the feeling like something is stuck in it position changes; sometimes it is on the right side, sometimes it is on the left.

Hello,

As a first line management you can try warm saline gargles. If symptoms persist better to consult an ENT specialist and get evaluated.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
