Suggest Treatment For Dry Red Patches On Face

I am having extreme dry, red skin patches on my face. It runs along my laugh lines from the sides of my nose around the sides of my mouth and down the sides of my chin. It has happened off and on over the past year and has gotten more persistent. It now seems to be happening between my eyebrows. I suffered with kidney stones earlier this year and had surgery to remove a parathyroid and a growth from my thyroid. My thyroid numbers seem to be normal but I keep thinking that this is related.

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain the symptoms of having dry red skin patches around the mouth,sides of nose and chin can be due to a condition known as Perioral Dermatitis..
In case if it is also occurring around eyebrows it can be Periorifacial dermatitis..
You should consult a Dermatologist and get evaluated and in case if the diagnosis is confirmed as Perioral dermatitis he can advise you oral intake of antibiotics like Erythromycin or Doxycycline for 4 to 6 weeks..
Topical application of Erythromycin gel can be advised.
You can also be advised Pimecrolimus gel and Azelic acid cream.
You should wash your face with only only water and avoid all kinds of skin cosmetics..
