My wife is experiencing painfullness in in torso to the touch. Brushing against the skin is painful to her. Other symptoms are running hot then at times having the chills with shaking. She has a continuos dull headache with experiences in sharp pain localized around different points of the frount of her head. She is lethargic at times and faint focus. She daily has at a minimum episodes of shacking, hyperventilating, sensations of numbness in the face or head with at times numbness in her arms. Her apitite has not changed much at all. CT scans show nothing. Her lab work comes back normal except for a low amount of bacteria in her urine.

Hi,

I believe this is trigeminal neuralgia which is is a condition that needs to be addressed by a Neurologist before to be confirmed as diagnosis. Imaging studies (MRI) also could be necessary to diagnose this condition.

Cervical spine conditions are not related to trigeminal neuralgia and don't cause similar symptoms. Dental work may cause pain at one side of the face, but this pain is different from trigeminal neuralgia. If confirmed, treatment first is medical and Carbamazepine is used for this purpose.

So, before starting a treatment about trigeminal neuralgia, a correct diagnosis is necessary. Discuss with your doctor about these issues.

Hope you found the answer helpful. Let me know if I can assist you further.
