General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello Dear. Since you are 60 year old we need to rule out lot of conditions that come with aging.

We need to rule out angina pain. You need to consult a physician who may get an ECG and see if any heart pathology exists.

Secondly need to rule out thyroid disorders. A blood test to look into thyroid profile will confirm if there is any abnormality. If any abnormality found, you may be started on medications

If nothing is found and still pain exists in the neck a larynogoscopy may have to be done to see the cause.

Hope i have answered your question. Feel free to contact me if you have any more questions. I ll be glad to help you.
All the best
With warm regards
