Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have a dull pain around the side of my hips. No pain around the tail bone. It s dull. I am a bus driver I sit in my seat all day. I just had the colon test done in October. It came back clean. This pain is why I had the test done. Now I am not sure what is causing this pain.
Dull hip pain may be of concern with neuro-muscular problem most likely. Associated symptoms must be evaluated as: - Relation to exertion - Pain lower back - Radiation of pain to thigh or hip to suspect nerve compression 7 - Weight changes or else - History of diabetes
In my clinic, after thorough clinical examination for range of movements, sensory motor parameters, I do recommend an X-ray with or without an MRI of the concerned region for the final diagnosis and cure accordingly.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
