Hi,

It does sound as though you have an left middle ear effusion. This is where fluid builds up in the middle ear, this fluid is usually drained through the Eustachian tube which allows fluid and air pressure to equalize and drain the fluid to the back of the throat. Seasonal allergies or even a mild viral or bacterial ear infection can cause this.

I am guessing due to the lack of other symptoms that this is more allergy related. Taking a long acting anti-histamine like Claritin along with Sudafed for 1-2 days would really assist in resolving these symptoms and restoring your hearing back to normal.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
