Suggest Treatment For Ear Bleeding After Usage Of Q-tip
I wasn t aware that you weren t supposed to clean your ears with q tips, but I just did and when I pulled out one it had blood on it. First a spot, bt then a little bit more. This ear feels bunged up now. What do I do to hear properly again? Is this serious?
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of ear bleeding after usage of q-tip which could be due to perforation of eardrum, inflammation of middle ear and due to accumulation of fluids and wax.
Need not to worry about it. I would suggest you to keep your ear dry and apply warm compresses to external ear. Take antibiotic Ciprofloxacin if you are not allergic to it and put Otogesic ear drops 2-3 times a day. You should take proper rest. If symptoms keeps on persisting you should visit ENT specialist once and get it examined and start treatment after proper prescription. Doctor will perform audiometry, CT scan, MRI, low and high pitched ringing to rule out conditions like earwax buildup and middle ear infection. Try to avoid excessive use of mobile as it will put more pressure.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
Get Well Soon.
Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
