Suggest Treatment For Ear Infection And Which Is Bothering Me For A While

it feels like i have an ear infection and it has been bothering me for a while and it had made my jaw hurt in the past i thought it might be my sinuses leaking back to my ear and i took clariton d and it helped but now my ear hurts again what can i take to get rid of an ear infection

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain ear ache, jaw pain and also leaking sinuses that got some relief with Claritin D seems to be due to ear infection and as it is commonly bacterial infection, therefore it will resolve with antibiotics that can fight against bacteria..

Secondly along with antibiotics you should also take anti-inflammatory painkillers like Ibuprofen for relieving pain..

I would suggest you to consult an Otolaryngologist and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation and investigations like otoscopy, x ray etc can help in diagnosis..

He can be advised antibiotic and analgesic ear drops along with oral antibiotics and painkillers..
Also avoid excessive water exposure to ears like swimming as it can exaggerate infection..
Avoid picking the ears..
