Suggest Treatment For Ear Pain When Diagnosed With UTI And Cold

I am a female. I recently got a bad UTI and on top of that a cold. Last night I keep getting a fever and it made my right ear sore for some reason. I then woke up this morning and I am hearing everyone in a robotic voice including myself when I talk out loud. I did put my finger in my ear to try relieve the pain so I m thinking I pushed wax onto the ear drum.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello dear
I understand your concern
I think you have develop the inflammation/infection of the Eustachian tube.
It connect the middle ear and pharynx.
When you develop the cold there is high chance of spread of infection toward the Eustachian tube and produce the otitis media.
Ear examination by the ENT surgeon help in diagnosis.
Doctor will give following advises:
Tablet amoxycillin and clavullininc acid 625mg twice a day for week
Ofloxacin ear drop three times a day.
Tablet levocetrizine 5mg once in the night
Steam inhalation and drink plenty of lukewarm water.
Hope this may help you
