Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Dear Dr. Recently I have done USG of whole abdomen which revealed: a small echogenic lesion at the lower middle calyx (6mm) of the right kidney and also tiny echogenic foci in the upper middle calyx and lower calyx of right kidney (?) echogenic calyx / tiny calculi . Moreover I have a history of renal stones and I had undergone lithotripsy 3 times (each time 3 sittings). please help me to know what is this all about. Thanks Shubha Brata Sarkar ( YYYY@YYYY )
HI Well come to HCM I really appreciate your concern, such echogenic shadows are nonspecific if it is there without the symptoms of course it shows the stone there (as the given report is suggestive of it ) else this is the nothing to worry although report needs to be correlate with clinical condition hope this information helps.
