Hi doctor. I m a nursing student who suffers from eczema. I ve only discovered this last year before I furthered my studies, which is during my National Service. I sweat a lot and the back of my neck became red, itchy, thick and cracked. Then a doctor gave me aqueous cream and zinc cream (if I m not mistaken) and it started to peel off and I recovered 3 days after using the cream. When I started to join this Nursing course, where we have clinical postings every semester, I tend to get the eczema again every time we got posted. I noticed my eczema only occur when I sweat continuously everyday. I got the last eczema which is the worst I ve ever had when I was posted for 2 months on the month of April this year. The redness and all the symptoms I ve mentioned earlier turned out to cover my whole neck that time, it hurts that I can t turned my head to left and right. And it somehow looked like allergy mixed up with skin rash. It swelled and really really red. I consulted doctors in where I was posted and they gave me few creams like aqueous and one of the costicosteroid creams. I also went for a shot (one of the allergy drugs). It s reducing afterwards but very slow. Then after few days my neck has started to develop pimples again. When I ve finished with posting it started to heal but now I have pigmentations on my neck. What should I do for my next clinical posting?
