Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi today I finally got into a Orthopedic Doctor for my elbows, He couldn t believe the condition of my elbows, He said no shots no brace nothing would help me, Except total elbow replacements one at a time.. Could you give me some info on this surgery and after effects please
I have studied your case and I think that you might be having one of this condition or maybe both.
1.Tennis elbow- pain on outer side of elbow, specially on extension. It is mostly at point which you have described. It can be diagnosed by a orthopaedic doctor. treatment is hot water fomentation, tennis elbow band or steroid injection at inflamed side.
2. Cervical spondylitis- In this condition there is nerve compression in the neck. it can be treated with physiotherapy and tablets.
To confirm the diagnosis you need to visit an orthopedic doctor. He may advise you to get an elbow or neck X-ray to confirm the diagnosis.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Ivan R. Rommstein, General Surgeon
