Suggest Treatment For Elevated ESR And Chronic Fatigue
Hi, I have been told that I have an elevated ESR level (after fatigue screening requested for a referral to a chronic fatigue specialist). It is around 50. Could this be due to any medication I am taking? Is it likely to be related to the CFS or Fibromyalgia from which I believe I am suffering? Thank-you
Hello dear, High ESR suggest active inflammation is present in you body. I think it is due to fibromylagia rather than drug. If you are take drugs like: testosterone, estrogen, phenytoin, aspirin, predisone, these drugs affect the ESR and you should repeat the test after stopping this drug.
Following are the treatment for fibromylagia 1. Medicine: pregablin, duloxentine after consult with doctor only 2. Weak opioid like tramdol plus paracetamol 3. Cognitive behaviour therapy 4. Aerobic exercise: Improve fitness and sleep
Hope this may help you.
Wish you good health
