Suggest Treatment For Elevated SGPT And LDL Levels

My SGOT is 43.0 measured on Biological Reference Intervals on 17-59 u/l and SGPT is 94.0 measured on Biological reference intervals. HDL is 45.0 and LDL is 134.6. I have the below questions 1. Is the Biological Reference unit given by Lab is correct. I see in all portal that SGPT range should be 20 -40 u/l. 2. Does high LDL results in increase of SGPT. 3. How do I control both SGPT and LDL.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

Your enzyme level is almost normal and nothing to worry about it. Borderline values do not indicate any significant disease conditions and no definite treatment is required either. If you have any disease conditions the values will be in thousands.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
