Suggest Treatment For Elevated TSH Levels

Hi...I m Hypothyroid patient from last 10 years...till last year my TSH levels are normal with 100 mcg of thyronorm...today i got my TSH report which showed T3 & T4 normal but TSH shooted upto 21.14...please advise how much dose should i take from now on. Also I admit that i miss once or twice dose in a week

Hi,

Yes, the TSH indicates your dose is not very right and may need an increase. If you have not missed many doses (few doses wouldn't cause a lot of difference.) I would suggest you should increase the dose and repeat TSH in 6 to 12 weeks to see and plan ahead.

Don't take Thyroxine with meals or iron, calcium supplements that may decrease its absorption.
