Suggest Treatment For Elevated Cholesterol Level In Blood
Hello, I was told by my GP that my cholesterol was a bit high like 7 weeks ago. Since then I Hv been on a regular diet and exercise 7 days a week in the gym for 7 weeks. Did the test again this week, I was disappointed to hear it still high. Don t know what to do now. Just tired and miserable. HELP!!!
Hi & Welcome. I can understand your concern. Incomplete data like age, gender, presence of any medical illness, the detailed results of lipid profile (LDL cholesterol, Total cholesterol, Triglycerides)?? Assuming your Cholesterol to be high and not responding to lifestyle changes such as exercise and dietary restriction of fat, it is therefore advised you to start taking cholesterol lowering drug (Statin) like Atorvastatin once daily in the evening time. You need to visit a doctor for the prescription and proper clinical examination to rule out high BP, or lab tests to rule out diabetes. Continue following the lifestyle changes as before. Hope this answers your query.
