Suggest Treatment For Elevated Level Of Klebsiella
I am a 51 year old female 5'5'' 145lbs and have been having a cronic problem with both bladder and yeast infections for the last 3 months, they have been mainly treated with keflex, but after this course of anti biotics I am right back where I started within a matter of days. The last lab work results came back with a slightly elavated level of klebsiella. I am not on any hormone therapy due to cloting problems, and of course with that information I have had a hysterectomy years ago.
I understand your worry and concern regarding recurrent infection and most commonly klebsiella is the culprit. This bacteria has the ability to develop resistance to antibiotics very easily. The best way to deal with it is repeated culture sensitivity and getting antibiotic therapy based on the test results. Recurrent bladder infection can also be controlled by maintaining personal hygiene, drinking adequate water at least 3-4 liters per day and completing the full course of antibiotics prescribed. I hope I have helped you with this answer.
Thanks.
