Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Recently Ive had my blood work done. My wbc count was down .6 and liver enzymes were elevated to 42 I have been taking anti inflammatories for a couple of monhths and also venlafaxine for a year. In June I had botox treatment for my wrinkles. My blood test was taken in early August. Can these meds cause my levels to be abnormal?
Hi !I had gone through your question and I understand your concern.
I would say that taking these drugs ) Antiinflamator and Venlafaxine less) for a long time cause side effect and one of these is damage your lives .And this is shown in high Tramsaminas AST/ALT. Botox does not affect the liver . Also eating faty food , drinking alcohol, being overweight , comon virus infection can cause high liver enzymes. I would advice you if you can to decrease the used of the antiimflamator , eat healthy ( low fatt diet, if you use alcohol try to stop slowly.) .And repeat the lives test after 3 month .
Wish you good health Thank you for using HCM
