Suggest Treatment For Elevated Sgpt Levels In Blood
My husband had urine and lab work repeated a week after suffering from heat exhaustion. Everything was WNL except for ALT (SGPT) of 67. This labs normal range indicates U/L 30-65. Should we have the doctor do further testing to see if there is a problem?
He is 56. He works out every day. Wt. approx. 230 lbs, ht. about 5'10", had gallbladder removed, and is taking meds for high blood pressure and high cholesterol.
Your sgpt value according to report doesn't seem much elevated.... The value is borderline .... Your cholesterol level high ...for which you are taking drugs also... So here just rule out fatty liver by USG abdomen.... Nothing to worry much about it.... Temporary certain viral infection also can elevate liver enzyme.
Continue doing regular exercise.... As you have removed gall bladder avoid taking high fatty foods..
If after one month value remain borderline high or much elevated then consult gastroenterologist for it....
Hope your concern solved.
