Suggest Treatment For Elevated Triglyceride Levels
My triglycerides are 2,356. Last blood work three months ago they were 650. I ve been on medication and seeing my physician but they called me this afternoon with the new results and the dr wasn t in to talk to me. How concerned should I be at this point?
You should be concerned because very high triglycerides can sometimes cause or be associated with pancreatitis (inflammation of the pancreas).
Some of the causes of increased triglycerides are--(1)obesity (2)hypothyroidism- low levels of thyroid hormones (3)genetic (4)diabetes (5)high carbohydrate diet (6)kidney disease (7)side effect of medication (8)excess alcohol use
I hope this helps
