Suggest Treatment For Enlarged Prostate

I had a colon resection due to early stage of cancer. Since that surgery my oncologist recommended a body scan that is when they found a small cyst on my right kidney he refers me to urologist and a follow up scan was orders 6mths later and in that time it got bigger and now compatible with renal cell carcinoma. A year later I had another scan done it is bigger now 28mm upper pole exophtic complex cystic lesion with multiple enhancing mildly thickened separations and may represent a complex multiseptated cyst versus cystic neoplasm including renal cell carcinoma. They also found I have a mildly enlarged right distal external iliac chain lymph node is noted 12mm in short axis and mildly enlarged prostate gland. Am I at risk of kidney and prostate cancer

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

Consult a urologist and plan for a prostate biopsy. Most probably it is due to benign prostatomegaly which is quite common in men.

Once the diagnosis is confirmed you can opt for procedures like TURP to remove the prostate.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
