Suggest Treatment For Enlarged Testicles And Groin Pain

Hi,

I am a 22 y.o. male

Sexual Activity: virgin but masturbated once or twice a day before the symptoms appeared

I am very worried and concerned and I would like to consult you about the following problem:

Starting late January (28-29) I had some discomfort or mild/dull pain in the left side of my groin. the discomfort mainly happens when I am lying down and at times spreads to my inner thigh and legs. My left scrotum/testicle area looked a bit larger than usual and seemed to have slightly changed size and shape if you look closer to it.I felt this 'enlarged' area when I was about to masturbate, it felt more sensitive than it was before (dull pain when pressured)and certainly more sensitive than the right scrotum/testicle.

On February 1 I went to the family doctor where he did me a test (the one where I pretended to cough as his finger was on the left scrotum). He said there was nothing to worry about

The discomfort started to improve but I soon faced another problem. Some abnormal flow of urine where it takes a little more time to exit the body. I started taking cranberry pills which made the situation significantly improve

HOWEVER the enlargement of my left scrotum/testicle is still present.

I chatted with a doctor online and he told me it could be a genetourinary inflammation and urged me to do a Urine test.Urine tests today showed normal results and no sign of infection.

Here is a detailed description of the sypmtom:

My left scrotum/testicle is more sensitive than it was before and more sensitive than the other side. the 'enlargement' doesnt seem to be a seperate mass, it is just a change in the size and shape of the left scrotum/testicle itself. When looking at it closely, it seems bigger than the right one and is closer to the base of the penis than the right testicle/scrotum.

I hope I described my situation well enough. Attached is a picture of the Scrotum (the affected area on the left)

I am really concerned and in need of an answer.

Thanks a lot for your time

Hi, it is an inflammation of testis and the epididymis which is known as epididymo-orchitis which may be due to urine infection and sometimes in filariasis. Please take a broad spectrum antibiotic like ciprofloxacin 500mg two times a day with tab. di-ethyl carbamazine (hetrazan) 300mg two times a day for 21days.
