Suggest Treatment For Enlarged Tonsils And Breathing Difficulty

my son is 9 years old and has breathing difficulties. he breathes through his nose more or less constantly especially for the last two months. he has very large tonsils all of the time. I am concerned that his quality of sleep is poor as he does not breathe well. I took him to gp who said he had no chest problem but suggested seeing an ENT specialist. I amn waiting for an appointment but in the meantime took him to a cranial osteopath but so far effects minimal. Just wanted to know if there is anything else I could be doing for hi. He is always out of breath and not nearly as active as he could be.

hi
along with tonsils , child may be having adenoid enlargement.
salt water gargling can help in reducing congestion of tonsils.
if there is nasal block, xylometazoline drops (2droos twice daily can help) , but not to be used for more than 5 days
