Suggest Treatment For Epilepsy

I am a 49 year old woman. My son has epilepsy. I have ever had any seizures. This last Sunday I did have a seizure. I have been on bupropion XL 300 mg for about a year. I have never had any other problems. My doctor doesn t want me to drive until I get clearance from the neurologist. But we need two incomes and my appointment won t be until October. I can t be out of work that long. I have stopped taking bupropion. Last dose was Saturday. I feel fine I haven t had any other seizures. Would it be ok for me to go to work?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

As per your history, it may be due to epilepsy.

For further assessment you may require MRI brain and electroencephalography after consultation.

You may require anti epileptic like tablet eptoin after consultation.

Avoid driving, work at height. Do light work. Continue medications as adviced

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
