Dear Patient,
Erectile dysfunction is common complication of
diabetes and
Hypertension. Diabetes causes neuropathy and
arteriosclerosis, both of which cause damage to nerve supplying the penis and also it stiffens the
artery supplying blood to penile tissue causing less blood flow to penis when required ie during intercourse.
If the problem is short term, check your fasting blood sugar after two weeks regularly and do your BP checked, make sure both are in normal range while you are taking your medication.
First Line therapy is, off course, vessel dilator, ie Viagra and
Cialis. If you have tried these and still they dont work, your physician may guide you to further aggressive treatment options, such as, penile self injection therapy and External Penile Pump. Patients find these procedure little bit uncomfortable, and sometimes it does not go well. New technique, The internal penile pump is found to be more comfortable and compliant by patients having ED with diabetes and Hypertension
In Nutshell,
1. Do regular Tests, adjust your medication doses so that your BP and
Glucose level are in normal range
2. Keep taking Ciallis before sexual intercourse
3. If Cialis does not work at all, go for further therapies as i mentioned above
Thanks
